What We DoChildren & Adolescents

This might be you if…
You do not need to tick all of them. One is enough to be worth a conversation.
How we work
We value a safe, collaborative and meaningful engagement which is not imposed, adult-driven or overly clinical.
For younger children, whose thinking arrives through doing rather than explaining. Drawing, story and play carry the material.
The same structured approach, pitched properly — concrete, collaborative, and never condescending.
Separate work with the adults, so the strategies survive outside the room. Often the highest-leverage part.
With consent, we work with a school so that the same young person is not being managed three different ways.
Naming, tolerating and moving through feelings — taught explicitly, because almost nobody is taught it.
Practical details
Everything else you would probably want to know before you get in touch.
If you are currently taking prescribed medication, do not change it based on anything on this page. Speak to the doctor who prescribed it — and we are happy to work alongside them.
Not verbatim, and that is deliberate — a young person who thinks the room is being reported on will not use it. You will get a clear picture of themes, progress and anything that affects their safety.
Come yourself first. Parent-only work is genuinely effective, and it is often what changes things enough for a young person to be willing.
Yes, with consent. We also run programmes inside schools and colleges — see Schools & Colleges.
Lead with what you have noticed rather than what you have concluded, and offer it as an option rather than a verdict. We can talk this through with you before you try.
You do not need a diagnosis, a referral, or a good enough reason. Therapy does not change who you are — it helps you become who you have always been trying to be.
